Tarek Alarian (Arabic: طارق العريان‎) (born September 12, 1963) is a Palestinian-American film director living in Egypt. He is also credited as Tarek El'eryan and Tarek Eryan.

Family

Tarek Al Eryan was born in Kuwait. He has been active since 1988. He has a son, Omar Alarian, from his first wife Hala Attal. They divorced in 1997. He is currently married to the Syrian singer Asalah Nasri.

It is a common misconception that Al Eryan is Egyptian because of his residency there. However, El Eryan is of Palestinian descent and carries a United States Passport. Tarek is also the son of acclaimed film director Riad Alarian. Tarek has three brothers, Ahmad, Hani, and Nabeel. Ahmad is co-founder of the UAE-based Almasa Productions - known for producing the famous "Peace for Palestine" messages through his music. The most famous one was in 1998.
